How to Take a Screenshot on the Sony Ericsson Xperia Pro
The Sony Ericsson Xperia Pro is one version of the flagship model released by Sony Ericsson (a mobile phone manufacturer based in Japan) – the Sony Ericsson Xperia NEO. This model is a slide-up form factor of Xperia NEO and features a full row QWERTY keyboard that is very easy to use. The Sony Ericsson Xperia Pro runs on Android and has an elegant screen. The Android flavor is customized (of course, the Sony Ericsson way) and has the TimeScape UI.
The TimeScape UI is prominently featured on all Sony Ericsson feature phones which were released in the late 2010 and all throughout 2011. It is a very neat UI but is not that furnished yet like what you can see in the iPhone or in Nokia’s homebrewed user interface. Still, it offers very fluid effects and transitions that are sure to impress any geek. The Sony Ericsson Xperia Pro runs on the Google operating system – Android. If you wanted to take gorgeous snapshots of your screen it is quite hard to do it especially with the previous versions of Android. You have to search the app store for an app that is compatible with the Android flavor that you have and with the specifications of your phone. If you found an app then you are lucky, but if you still have not, no worries – we have got the solution for you.
Just follow these rules:
Step 1: Install the Android SDK and the Java SE SDK on your computer. You have to download them and install them in your computer before you can proceed to the next steps.
Step 2: You have to extract the contents of the downloaded Android SDK to a folder you specified.
Step 3: Press or Tap the Home button on the screen then tap in Menu and finally click on the Settings tab. Proceed to the Applications menu then click on the Developmet tab. Make sure the USB Debugging is allowed by checking the checkbox beside it.
Step 4: Connect your HTC Evo 3D to your computer. The local OS on the computer will install the necessary drivers to make the device work with the computer. Then, open the Device Manager of the computer and open the HTC Evo 3D entry.
Step 5: Install the SDK Setup.exe of the Android SDK that you have on the folder stated in Step 2. Follow the screen instructions and click on Refresh so the list on the screen that will appear is updated. Select all the packages available if you can.
Step 6: Close the application once the download have been finished.
Step 7: Now, open the DDMS.bat on the Tools folder of the Android SDK folder. This will open the Dalvik Debug Monitor.
Step 8: You should be able to see your phone listed on the left side of the screen. Select your phone.
Step 9: The Device menu should be able to show the Screen Capture option. Click it and the press CTRL + S. Save it in the desired folder that you want and you are done. You can edit it a bit in image editing applications to enhance the visuals.
